In 2004, AIN decided to replace its heterogeneous legacy systems and processes at its various affiliates with a single SAP R/3 core system that would spread around the globe like a "Spider Web" improving transparency, efficiency and productivity. AIN named the project SPIDER.

For its implementation in East Asia, AIN decided to invite a consulting partner to support SPIDER. After a RFP was sent to several consulting firms, Anjin had been shortlisted and finally selected.
